At S&R, Inc., our customers rely on our experience as sheet metal fabricators to produce the high quality precision parts required for their demanding applications. In the project highlighted below, a customer in the automotive industry commissioned us for the custom manufacturing of steel components used to build and fabricate their stackable automotive rack systems. 3/16” thick, A36 grade HRPO steel was selected for the parts, and our high precision CNC laser cutter was employed to complete the fabrication. This flexible cutting process was ideal for the rapid creation of the various configurations and sizes specified, as there is zero set up time and no tooling necessary. A tight ± 0.005” tolerance was met during manufacturing, and parts were left with a mill finish. Comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections were carried out to ensure accuracy and integrity.
